I am not sure this is the correct thread;

Anyway these are a few good on-line game directories that seem to have worked to increase the player base of other games. I am definitely not a gaming expert and online gaming is a recent interest for me, but maybe this could help..

For most sites I do not believe there is any cost involved. Some of them work by voting, you can log into the site once a day and vote for your favourite game. We could be at a bit of a disadvantage there due to our current player base however encouraging active and 'less active' players to vote regularly is also promotion allowing players to actively contribute and take an interest in the 'fortunes' of the game.

Before I started playing here a few weeks ago I browsed through a number of free games. Before I commit my time to anything I do my research :) Allegiance is without a doubt the most interesting, challenging and unique I have come across. I think the issue is that potential players just do not know about it and that those who find out about it, only find games going on during a very limited time frame (US prime time). There is not much we can do about the latter (unless some vets fix some sort of roster to be on at different times eg. euro prime time to welcome any new recruits) but perhaps we can address the former.

Thank you, this kind of list is useful. Raumvogel is an active volunteer for site submissions, we could definitely use more help.

Want bigger games? Log on to play at the official game time: 9pmET/8pmCT/7pmMT/6pmPT every day of the week. Also Saturdays 8pm UTC.

as I have time.Please feel free to PM me if you need any help.

Here's the site list: http://padsites.asp-software.org/

Heres the PAD location (make submiting much faster): http://downloads.alleg.net/PAD/FreeAllegiance.xml

Np

I tried a few on page 6, a couple of questions.

1. What category are you registering under? Simulation game or war/strategy game?
2. Sometimes it requires e-mail verification. Will the e-mail be sent to the author of the pad?
3. This one http://www.fortedownloads.com/submit/ requires information that I do not have.

I usually go with "simulation" as I want to emphasize the 3-d aspect of the game. It is hard to categorize as this game is unique.
If you use you're e-mail for verification, it will be sent to you. This is mostly to make sure you are a real person and not a bot.
As to #3, I'd just submit the PAD link and catagory, if it forces you to submit the other information, I'd skip it. We have tones of other sites that don't need more than the basics.

Thanks again for you're help.
