So I've had several queries recently as to the status of Allegiance Command School (ACS). Earlier this year I had been interested in restarting and rebuilding the program, but in the ensuing months, player activity cratered and it seemed unlikely that there would be any prospective students.

I'd like to get more than a "gut feel" what the interest level is. We would be looking for players who have been in the community for six months or more, who have not reached veteran status, but who have a solid understanding of the game at least from the pilot's perspective, and would like to start learning the game from the commander's point of view. These students maybe have never commanded before, or have commanded occasionally but are looking for more mentorship and backseat assistance.

Allegiance needs more commanders -- commanders who love to command, and commanders who people love to fly for. If you or someone you know fits that bill, drop a note here, or send me a PM. Thanks!

Edit: as a bonus, here's the legendary ACS Material PDF as it was last updated in 2009. Unfortunately the wiki doesn't allow uploading of non-image files, so I'm throwing it up on dropbox for the time being until I can find a better home for it.

I love to command but people never liked to fly for me because I can be a *#$@ sometimes.

Do you have a school that will teach me how to not be a *#$@?

Although if I was a better comm I may not have to be a *#$@ as much

again

(I can technically since you won't add me to the graduate list)
Let me reiterate for Metz and others who may have missed it.

ACS is a school to teach the basics of commanding to new(ish) players. If you are not a new player, if you already know the basics of commanding, if you in fact command all the freaking time, ACS is not for you.
