P1 managed to log in as Camaro and hijack his forum account.

That's bannable offense so I think he wants to be banned.

After thinking about this, I think that the link he sent you contained a session ID. Normally IPB removes the session ID from URLs, but for some reason it was within that URL.

For a while i included the domain into my password.. so my passowrd here was freeallegiance.com12345. But it sucked to remember a password for every different webpage. So now my password is 12345 but i will change it to "alpha-numeric" following to your advice.

Your amazon password: amazone.de12345
Your FAO password: freeallegiance.org12345
Your google password: google.de12345

This is also a dump way to simplify your password.

Actually for most people it's probably ok to write down passwords for these reasons:
The category of people who break into houses aren't information thieves - they're after your TV, not pieces of paper in a draw.It allows people to use more complex passwords, and different ones for every site - people choose simple and the same passwords because they need to remember them. The people who want to steal your passwords (those on the internet) can't access your air gapped paper password database which is stored in a format not directly computer readable.
Of course, this is assuming you don't live with people who want to break into your accounts or you let such people see the piece of paper with the passwords on. That said I don't use paper since I might lose it.

Alpha numeric, helps but shouldn't go over the top.

Pass-phrases are where it's at since you can remember them and sentences tend to be very long.
This isn't my awesome allegiance password! OK!
You can substitute some numbers for characters if you want, or maybe include them in the phrase
I haven't changed my password 7 times.
Proper punctuation means you get some bonus unusual characters like ',!.

Make complex passwords, save them all to your flash drive, keep flash drive on your key ring, never lose your keys.
