In many ways I hope these nincompoops win so you guys can have a taste of that delicious capitalist utopia the GOP is promising. I'll be out of the country in a year most likely, so I probably won't get to see the fallout.

Why limp on with a half-assed President like Obama when you could get a real kick in the balls to actually motivate your people into participating in the political process?

On Ryan, I think his love of Ayn Rand is quite disingenuous considering his upbringing.

However, I seriously doubt they have a chance. Romney has succeeded in alienating pretty much everyone besides middle aged White men, and while they are the largest participators, Obama pretty much has everyone else. The real danger is people or demographic groups sitting out the election because they are fed up with Obama but don't want to vote for the other party.

As of right now, I'd wager Obama winning the election comfortably.

I have a friend who voted and campained for a nationalist populist party in Finland with similar thinking, wanting the idiots in the parliament to shake things up. I can't say I agree with him, as we have a proper multiparty system and coalition governments... but I do understand where you are coming from Virulence.

Romney claims that Ryan's "ambition was not to go to Washington"

Ryan went to Washington after graduation from college in 1992, after working as an intern for a senator out of term time whilst he was at college. He has been there - with one short break - ever since.

:ninja:

edit: as an aside, agris ambition is never to go to scotland. agri has managed to do this during his 36 years of existence, and whats more has also found out that it was the duke of wellingtons ambition as well.

wellington also never went to scotland.

Ryan's budget will balance the Federal Budget by 2040.

That is just 27 short fiscal years!

Here in Germany it is: "our budget will be balanced withing x+2 years" x is the time the speaker will be still in office most probably.

At least ryan is honest... (or has he high expectations of his political career).
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.
