Hello, I am having a problem at Step 5 in the READ ME FIRST announcement. What is happening is I click sign in, the client goes through all the validation and authentication, moves onto step 5 from step 4, and although the program appears at the bottom, I am presented with a persistent black screen as opposed to the red opening screen with the Allegience logo. There is no error message, so I press the windows logo button and exit the application.

I had to manually delete 'newgamescreen.mdl' in order to successfully update to R6, however it then redownloaded automatically to update. This is prior to the start of the problem.

Does Allegiance launch without ASGS?

Can you post your VideoSettings.log file? You find it within the Allegiance directory.

Have you tried updating you video driver?

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

I have no idea how to update with drivers, but I'll have a poke around with google now. It worked fine when I playtested beta a few weeks ago, and at that point I did not have to replace 'newgamescreen.mdl' manually.

Thanks for the speedy response, as well.

It just comes up as 'Intel® HD Graphics Family' on dxdiag, so I'm not sure. Ill have a look around, see if I can find a way to find out specifically.
