I am new and I am clueless so I got the above questions.

QUOTE Poll-Clarification:

Poll-Question 1:
- A generic Bomber (light/hvy) is being charged at by unlimited Ints
- Each of these Ints is attacking seperately (light/hvy correspondingly)
- The bomber only got 1 turret (AC) manned
- All players involved have the exact same mediocre skill-level (mu 25 I guess)
- There is no nan-support or any other extravagant circumstances (prox-mines, rocks to hide behind, whatever ...)

Poll-Question 2:
- see above, only this time it is three Ints charging in at once

Comparison:
If the question were "How many charging Ints can an Int-pilot kill the answer would be "1" for poll #1 and some
number smaller than 1 for poll-question #2[/quote]

This question is of course geared towards finding out how good turrets are supposed to be.
I am asking because I used to feel pretty good about turret-gunning, I suppose because I
actually managed to kill something somehow. Recently though it tends to be quite dissappointing
and I keep thinking "Damnit, a bomber isn't exactly squichy and there should be more havoc
possible when sitting behind an Autocannon ..."

Gimme some numbers so I know what I can work up to in order to feel good about my gunning-skills.

If the ints are good they will boost away to draw fire if they get targeted, so the answer is 0 and 0.
But chances are you'll get a couple because they're bad.
It really has little to do with you.

The poll is flawed but whatever. If you're so new maybe you should focus on being a scout nanite instead of trying to get kills? :D

None on XC.

One on CC and that is the guy who rams into the bomber and sits there for a few seconds letting you ac him down
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Eeww ... that doesn't sound good. Not good at all.

What I am taking out of this so far is first, turrets suck
and second, anybody who is halfway capable and not in a Nan yet should be flying an Int instead of sitting in a turret on bombruns.
?

First part: Care to share what's flawed about it?
Second part: "No", "no" and "It's not about the kills. It's about a successful bombrun."

I can kill as many as i damn well please. Provided my bomber is being nanned decently.
That's why the poll is flawed. You didn't say if i had nans, and you didn't say if they have mini 3

I've been on bomb runs where I kill ten ints, I've been on bomb runs where I kill 0... with the same tech.

The poll is pointless because it doesn't ask if the bomb run is eyed, uneyed, nanned or un-nanned...

Whatever, carry on.

actually, it specifically says it's un-nanned
