Why ELO discourages antistacking

Well not all players are the same in all situations or on all days. You might say hey Peyton Manning is awsome, then put him against the Pittsburg Steelers in a snow storm and he sucks. You end up with a lopsided game even though the expected outcome was 50/50. With allgiance there are so many variables to consider, you would need a million games to be able to setup an elo autobalance that was reasonable correct, and it would have to consider commanders, settings, factions, time of day, etc. I like the idea of going back to AZ factions ranks and balancing based upon that. I don't know how many people become 15s by whoring noobies all day long with rix destroyers, but couldn't fly a fighter at all. Plus factions ranks are fun, especially belter.
