Bravo

EDIT:
Gonna leave this here again (from another topic):
Xynth wrote:QUOTE (Xynth @ Aug 12 2010, 11:35 PM) If it doesn't work for you, you need to start getting pretty vocal. We are not that far from release so everyone should make sure they can at least basically play in R6.

Granted, if you can't get it to work with ASGS, there are a thousand stupid reasons for that. But if the installer isn't working for you, there is a problem that needs to come to our attention.

MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Sep 18 2011, 08:20 AM) So you are removing AllegSkill until it is impossible to use with CSS?
No need to bother making in impossible to implement just don't do it and save a bunch of work.

Given your answer and PandaBeard's answer seem incompatible can I give this a try?

1. You are removing from the game for whatever reason
2. You are keeping it in the game but are changing how its implemented
3. You are keeping it in the game and are not changing a thing related to AllegSkill
4. You are removing it from the game until you can implement AllegSkill differently
5. Other

I think it is 2

Sorry to be a pest but I am just more confused then before... yes the irony is delicious

Ahoy MrC!

I added Mu and Sigma (and command Mu and Sigma) to the data relayed to the server from CSS when the user logs in as part of the client authorization process. This enables someone down the road to use those factors to make a new AB system should it become desirable. They are (if I remember correctly) part of the player object.

Sorry for the late response, I missed the thread.

the mu and sigma are updated by the server periodically now as well, so 'rank changes' will occur w/o relog.

knowing/having the current, latest skill/rank data is the only way to make an effective auto-balance

Thanks for the great work!
For the first time since R2 I get a smooth frame rate to my old laptop. Well done!
