$#@! you obama/bush and your roughshod trampling of constitutional privileges. Im so sick and tired of you dickbags doing essentially whatever you want and NOONE can hold you accountable!
Anwar Awlaki was a liar, a murderer, and a scumbag. But his ass was BORN in Arizona... and that means you cant just order a drone strike to take him out without him having a chance to defend himself. Those are the principles that millions of us have fought and died for, and you just @#(! all over those sacrifices.
$#@! you

It's called justice. You sound like the kind of person that wants to give terrorists Miranda rights. He got what he got and deserved it. THE END. I know, you are gonna argue, "Well if they can do that to him, then what will stop them from doing it to you?" Here is what will stop them from doing it to me: I won't be a douschbag, murdering terrorist - I'm safe.

"What if, star sailor, I were to come over your house and punch you in the $#@!ing face?!
Will that finally get you to shut the hell up?!?" -- neotoxin
Fishbone makes a convincing argument for the abolishment of trials.
Really, why is this surprising, though? I'd rather live in a U.S. dominated world than one dominated by, say, China, or Putin's Russia, but look at your history -- your government does things of questionable legality and morality all the time. This isn't really to make a dig at the U.S. specifically though -- generally, all governments do whatever they can get away with doing that they feel is in their interest. The only antidote is a culture that doesn't tolerate politicians doing this sort of stuff.
As fishbone illustrates, I don't think you've got that.

But it's okay for your government to assassinate non-American citizens whenever you feel like it?

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
