Firefall

It's in closed beta now. Invites were sent out today. Did anyone get keys?

If you get in, let me know how it is. I was hoping that Global Agenda was going to be more like this game (from what i've read about Firefall at least). Hopefully they get this out soon before Planetside 2 and the new Tribes comes out.

I agree Global Agenda is kinda rough, but it had some really cool ideas.

In some of the high level co-op missions there would be other players that spawn and try to prevent you from finishing the mission. Kind of like Left 4 Dead. That was actually really interesting.

The problem was the open world was kind of just a gimmick and ended very quickly then after that it was just a bunch of people sitting in the Dome showing off what kind of Ink they bought to color their armor.

Hopefully this Firefall doesn't end up like that.

well, it seemed like global agenda was designed mostly with PvP and super heavy instancing in mind, and all the open world areas were just an afterthought

i remember people first starting the game after the open world stuff was introduced and they were just really confused after they finished the desert, and were like "wait so now what do I do? just sit around and hope this mission/pvp queue doesn't take 10 minutes to pop?"

Yeah, thats pretty much what it was, though I haven't played since it went free to play. Not sure if anything has changed since then, though i'm not holding my breath.

Oh yeah, and screw them for going free to play 2 months after I bought the friggin game on steam.
