you know i gave it a real good shot at eu servers... made it till like level 23 or something and i would continue playing there except matchmaking takes so freaking long. i mean it's not like alleg downtime by any means but if you have gotten used to getting a game going within 5 seconds or less... anything beyond 10 seconds means either your client got bugged (gotta quite and reload) or the hackers are hammering the servers again. and this 5 second rule applies throughout the entire day/night... not like eu servers, geez u can sit there, eat a sandwich, watch a couple of commercials on tv, and you'll still be waiting to get matched up... actually it kinda reminds me of the matchmaking in sc2.. ok just call me impatient, i dont care.

so yea, everyone just come over to the us servers so easy to switch anyway, i'll even help u level up.. i got a couple of lowbie guys and i dont mind starting over. (playing w/o runes is where the real challenge is)

Hey, i broke down and installed the game. I liked DOTA in SC1 and 2, and this has been pretty fun so far. I know the basic mechanics, but there are so MANY characters im not sure where to start etc

ill try to find ya.. i have a level 2 guy i can use to team up. been playing w/ juckto over weekend w/ my level 8.

w/ a name like manbrpig i think i see a little udyr in you!

dont worry about all the diff champions... its how they try to keep the game fresh and interesting for people who have been playing for a while. they all have their +/- although some match ups are pretty tough to go up against.

I'd just like to point out, for the record, that DotA on StarCraft was always crap. Real DotA was played on Frozen Throne.

I got by Funkmaster Rick on both LoL servers.
