After managing to get my computer up and running today I have found that my sound device does not work, nor will my computer let me install the driver required. So after 5 hours of complete fustration I wanted to play a few games only to find out when I log in, the screen goes black as if it was going to load the game screen, but then it logs out with no messages what so ever.

Processer: Pent 4 3GHz (2 cores)
Ram: 1.5G
Nvidia: graphics card with 64 RAM
Sound: nothing

I am automatically thinking its due to the sound. So is there any way to get allegiance to run with no sound?

On ASGSlient.exe there is this button that you can click to bring up the ASGS logging screen. Error messages will show up there.

It would've been better if you used the 'READ ME FIRST' template though...

Please fill out the template, including the sound card your PC is supposed to use (but I doubt it could be audio hardware causing problems) ;)

EDIT: .NET 2.0 must be installed even if later versions are present. More than 1 version can be present on the PC (I know this to be true on mine)
Further edit: Alleg without sound? Oh no! o.o

Allegiance itself has a switch to disable sound (Allegiance.exe -nosound), but you won't be able to play online (because ASGS doesn't support it).

Easiest thing would be installing the missing sounddriver.

I think it's a onboard soundcard, could you find the manufacture and model of your mainboard?!

BTW, which Windows version are you using?

QUOTE Easiest thing would be installing the missing sounddriver.
I've done that 3 times for the monitors speaker system, which uses Realtek 97'AC. And each time when installing it through new hardware wizard near the end the computer turns it self off to prevent damage, and performs a memory physical dump.

The Monitor it self was orginally the source of sound, however I do have its model number for the Monotor system 170B6CS/10. but in the mean time I will check for the motherboard but I do believe it is a ASUS for manufacture.

Have you tried this driver?

just downloaded, attempted to install:

Message reads: Does not support this operating system : WNT_4.OH

Have tried to run on compatability of Windows NT 4 Service pack 5, still same above message appears.

Sorted the above out. Its correct installer was in a seperate file that came with the download.

Tried to install; error message of : HDA audio bus driver is required and not found.

Have also tried this:
QUOTE Please try this scheme it's was helpful for me

* Step 1

Go to Start > Run and type Regedit

* Step 2

This will open up Windows Registry Editor. Next, follow the location of the key below by navigation through the little [+] signs you see next to the folders.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\CDSVersion

* Step 3

Change the value of the CSDVersion Dword and give it the value 200.

* Step 4

Try to install your driver again, you should not get the error this time. Once installed, restart your computer and resotre the registry key back to 300.

Note: The 300 refers to the service pack you are running. In this example we fooled windows into thinking we had service pack 2, although we are actually running service pack 3!

Once you have restarted your machine you should have a fully working sound driver!
Link where I found it to: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/82137-hda-...iver-not-found/
Also tried from there the first suggested solution which did not work either.

I haven't but I highly doubt it will work as it is for a P8BP-MX 2.0 motherboard not a P4P8T motherboard, though I tried to check the whole list the for other motherboards and couldn't find anything.

:(
