Battlefield 3 vs COD: MW 3
Neither will live up to Call of Duty 4.
But meh, Black Ops was the final nail in the coffin for CoD for me -- I think I'm going to get Battlefield 3 this time around -- Call of Duty has stagnated, desperately trying to repeat the success of CoD4 by making the games steadily more ridiculous as the series goes on but missing out on what made CoD4 so great -- the mood.
Plus everyone I know will be buying MW3 so I'll be able to borrow it off someone anyway.
...On another note, CoD and BF are almost identical and anyone who says they are incomparable because they are so different is $#@!ing kidding themself -- the only game more like CoD than BF is $#@!ing Medal of Honor (which was an outright CLONE of CoD). All you people claiming otherwise must be $#@!ing blind

Good point. Bf and cod both have similar squad mechanics, class system, destructable environment, game size and even the same player controlled vehicles.Valiance wrote:QUOTE (Valiance @ Aug 17 2011, 11:05 AM) Neither will live up to Call of Duty 4.

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
$#@! that, those are just details. When it comes down to it they are both "brown" FPSes set in a modern environment centred around multiplayer which has very fast paced gameplay based around cover and aiming down iron sights.spideycw wrote:QUOTE (spideycw @ Aug 17 2011, 05:59 PM) Good point. The fact that they are modern FPSes alone is enough to warrant calling them similar games.

Isn't he like 16? I think he does believe his tripe.HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Aug 17 2011, 03:27 PM) Spidey your being trolled, Val is being sarcastic, its pretty obvious when every single one of his points is the opposite
