I was there two years ago and hit osaka, nara, hiroshima, and tokyo but just scratched the surface. Any suggestions from the well traveled allegiance community? I was thinking of hitting hong kong as well as other is near by.

I though that my visit into the interior and less-populated areas of Japan were very interesting. Apart from the still-existent older buildings (cities having being leveled in WWII, the insignificant areas being left intact), I found the slower pace truly refreshing. I think I learned more about their underlying historical culture there in one day, than I did in weeks in the city centers.

But I can't say I'm well-traveled in Japan.
