Finished up my work week today, wife got home from caring for her grandmother. Went out for dinner and drinks, left because we were feeling tired. Get to the first intersection on the way home to see a youngish girl in a pink tube top thing kneeling over a guy and his mangled bicycle (not motorbike). I hit the blinkers and book it, wife dials 911. Guy is out hard, breathing, but his eyes are partially closed but all cockeyed, hes non-responsive. Make sure hes not bleeding out, giant puddle is his smashed beer can. He scares the @#(! out of me when he stops breathing for a just a little too long. Poor girl had her teenage brother in the car, and she totally was more worried about the poor guy she hit.

Her windshield was totaled, safety glass shattered to hell. His bike was pretty wrecked up too, and his flask was in several pieces.

2nd and third person run up, one of them suggests MOVING him.... I wave them off, a nurse shows up and asks who knows CPR, several people I can see in my periphery bail with negative responses. I tell her I was certified twice, but that I am rusty. She immobilizes his head, I get his arms and shoulders.

He wakes up, we keep him still, hes drunk, and totally concussed, being out for at least a minute or more. Cops roll up, fire trunk shows up, nurse and I keep him still until the fire medics take over. Ambulance arrives and the EMT/Paramedics take over the operation. I check out with the cops and have to circle nearly half a mile extra around to get home.

nothing says "buzzkill" to your evening like being the first person on an accident...

When I first read this, I thought you were implying that you were reporting prostitution.

Sucks for everyone involved though.

I don't want that time to be a @#(!-storm of hate and schadenfreude.

That only sucks for one. The other will have the cockeyed look.
