There is definitely a bias towards Soviet tanks.

The most telling things for me are:

- Soviets have higher damage, slightly lower accuracy, better pen than germans, and are meant to be "brawlers" charging in and killing at close range
- Germans are "snipers" higher accuracy at long range
- Game engine limits view range to like 500-700m
- They altered exp mechanics so you get more exp for close range kills than long range kills

. They benefit from those conditions as well.

I was impressed by that post which was 4th and with a big discussion going on. Actually the discussion was about a tactical mistake similar to entering proxed alephs. It seems that teams are random and # of people is very high. So it seems difficult to stack.

I'll write my WOT experience report below:
#1 The registration email is tough to receive using anti-spam addresses, but it is possible.
#2 Allegiance has(now) the better installer. Without asking does WOT write a 2gig file into my appdata folder before Setup wizzard opens.
I thought it should be:
1. Setup wizz opens
2. Something with (Yes/No)
3. Write Data into folders.
#3 At least the installer has the default folder c:\games\wot. This is the first game in a long time i could install into the default folder.

But I could install allegiance on a time where .NET2.0 was good and .NET2.00001 was evil. Nothing can stop me.

Arty is good - But its not even really a tank. You just sit there and click.

Medium tanks, epic lulz. Soviet endgame tank has much thicker armor, much more HP, much higher damage, and similar speed to the best medium tank. Sure, you can "do well" with any tank. But there is no solid enough mechanical reason to use anything but a heavy tank.

This isn't real war where you manage infantry advances, and break through lines and rush arty down the side (although yeah, you can bumrush arty in this its in no way strategic) - Even at the most strategic and organized its just choosing and target and going pew pew.

Yes, Russian Heavies are indisputably the best tanks in the game. Soviet Heavies are better Tank Destroyers than Tank Destroyers. Soviet Heavies are better scouts (longer visual range) than scouts. Add onto that very thick hulls, powerful weapons, and no retarded "armor weak spots" that the german and US superstructures have.
