Osama Bin Laden Killed
Still waiting to be confirmed, we'll find out soon. There's somebody already in his position most likely, we're not pulling out of Afghan

NUKE MUST BE PARTYIN WITH MAD BITCHES RIGHT NOW

According to everything I'm reading it's been confirmed with DNA evidence. He's supposedly been dead since the 24th.Sycrus wrote:QUOTE (Sycrus @ May 1 2011, 10:18 PM) Still waiting to be confirmed, we'll find out soon. QUOTE I hope he died slowly, painfully and is now screaming in torment in whatever version of hell that Muslims believe in[/quote]
I don't think that happened, they said it was a human operation, I'm sure Nuke just put two in his head and went..."well, what now?"
I expect he's in Heaven now getting his 72 virgins to comb his beard.
All in all, just another fool getting whacked in the Muslim world. Kill Gaddafi, fix the budget, stop using foreign oil and indirectly funding these guys, pull out of Afghanistan, educate the Middle East, feed African, stop the AIDS pandemic, save the environment, we have a grocery list of problems left. Killing one bad man doesn't change reality, I hate how the media and public is playing this up like it's the return of Jesus. Osama being dead is no comfort to people fighting everyday for a meager existence. I just know they'll make some big show about this, and it makes me sick how people are so exuberant about his death. Osama wasn't some evil Darth Sidious figure, he was just a player in the old show of "how do I make life suck for normal people today", co-starring Fox News and Ronald Reagan's ghost.
I like Barack, but I pray that he won't use this to distract the public about the real issues we still face. Am I being cynical here?

Irrelevant if he's a martyr, this is a victory for most of the world. Don't forget that Osama was a charismatic leader, and whoever follows him will probably not be the same level of charisma that Osama has. In addition, and this is key, this points to the long arm of the United States. It sends a message, "$#@! with us and you will die." For the most part this may stop many of the copycats.
The value of a martyr is nonzero, but the value of a legend is higher. If Osama is not untouchable, then no one is untouchable. Especially if this was a spec ops as NBC is reporting... it sends the message, "we can pluck you out of nowhere."

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

Hollow victory in my book. The US has been $#@!ing with people for 200+ years, I think whoever's left in al-Qaeda realize that the US is more than capable of killing people. Look at the sorry state of Iraq and Afghanistan, and most of the people there had nothing to do with 9/11. I don't see the message of "$#@! with us and you will die". It's more like "$#@! with us and we'll eventually be driving your cars, eating your cuisine, buying your stuff, having children with your descendants, watching your cartoons and holidaying in your country".phoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ May 1 2011, 08:31 PM) In addition, and this is key, this points to the long arm of the United States. That being said, good operation by the US for a change. Actually managed to shoot the right guy! I guess Nuke was angry after Vanca didn't rip his HTT and decided to take it out on those poor hajjis. Kidding aside, I love how we still use special forces for whacking fools across the world, reminds me of MW2. None of that UCAV nonsense, this is how real men roll my son.
