Help with DVD playback?

It's a joke related to IN SOVIET RUSSIA the [noun] [verb]s YOU!Defiance wrote:QUOTE (Defiance @ Apr 25 2011, 01:14 AM) CCCP one looks too commie for me..=P
I'd suggest linux mint since it comes with everything required to play dvds already in it.refill wrote:QUOTE (refill @ Apr 25 2011, 02:37 AM) Run a Linux live cd distro and try that Defi!....See I have a little heart.![]()
If Defi has only one optical drive I like the irony of this suggestion (unless it puts the whole CD onto a RAM disk which I don't think it does by default).

There are, and in fact in the menu after it's installed you can use the "VLC media player skinned" instead of the regular one to use the default skin. Default skin is really nice.Defiance wrote:QUOTE (Defiance @ Apr 25 2011, 02:02 AM) maybe there are skins or something for it so i don't have to see all that stuff lol
I love XBMC but I would not personally use it anything less than a media center. I mean you can even hook it up to a MySQL server to store everything if you want . . . XBMC Live + blu-ray drive + VDPAU video card (low profile 210 for me) = awseome.refill wrote:QUOTE (refill @ Apr 25 2011, 08:40 AM) immzzy recommended xbmc to me a while ago and I can say that it is the dogs bollocks.
I recommended a live cd to make your life difficult.
