With this, I officially hate you and think that if you can't improve your situation while making 15$/hr, you are simply living beyond your means.

Find cheaper rent, get a vehicle that is good on gas and insurance (those smart cars are pretty cheap, maybe an 80's honda or toyota), etc.

Give me your income and see what would happen, I $#@!ing dare you.

Again, it depends on area.

But I think Jimen is in FL somewhere, and FL is one of the cheaper states cost-of-living wise.

I made under that in NC for many years and did just fine.

15$/hr is 28,5k/ year (*1.9). Officially richer than 51%.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.

No benifits though. One medical issue and he could end up like Heyoka with possibly more complaining though.
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

And yes, I'm fully aware that it's one of the better fields to be in (at least in the event that the economy ever recovers), but stuff sucks right now and it's tough to improve one's situation on fifteen bucks an hour (with no benefits) minus taxes, rent, utilities, food, insurance, and student loan payments.
lol on fifteen bucks an hour you're well above the poverty line and are in fact at or close to median income. STFU and get to work noob.

He can't get ahead because he spends all his time and energy trolling the forums and looking up things on wikipedia so he sounds informed the man is keeping him down.

I dunno, it's pretty easy to be down on somebody when you aren't walking in their shoes.

i live in SE ohio, its pretty poor around here.
but our modest income allows us a nice house, quality vehicles, we both are still paying our college loans, we drop $600/mo on child care.

i mean we live pretty simply, but we live well. i was raised in a well-to-do suburb, and definitely choose to live this way.

could we live in a large city like this, probably, but it would be a little tighter. but i make $25-30 an hour here, whereas there i could easily charge $50-60.

i think $15 an hour is easy to live on, provided you have no kids or other overhead, its all about living smart (cook you own meals, dont buy stupid @#(!, etc) (been there done that)

I lived in those shoes for quite some time actually, as have many of the "rich people" that I know
