Been booted about 5 or 6 times. All but one was by OneManBootmachine so they don't really count since when the @#(! hits the fan with him. The baby, water, duckie and floating poo all goes. :poke:

Ive been booted so many times its just like restarting alleg, nothing new. When I first started playing I used to get booted for valid reasons like...

1. Pushing Bombers through alephs
2. Pushing Htts through alephs

Dont take so $#@!ing long to go through the $#@!ing aleph!

Still when I got booted I used to go read up the old academy pages  :salute:

I hear there is a current trend that people who are tired of being booted for no real reason just boot themselves prematurely by just not bothering to play at all.

I was proxing an aleph one time (miner D proxer). our tele con rips to the sector.
It has a sliver of hull left. I order it to me becouse it's spotted by an enemy scout. i was closing in on it fast
but the enemy scout was closer. think i got the first nan donut away and tele dies.
next frame was "you have been booted from team so and so".

I'm getting closer to joining that trend.

Spidey once booted me for soloing an enemy tele with my SB. "I wanted to NG that! Too bad if I didn't tell anyone about it."

I challenge any of you to be booted while joining a game thanks to your 600 - ~ ping so on join you get a message saying 'Boost' high on join but due to it taking 30 seconds for your icon to allow you to launch you find yourself back in the lobby after the inevitable boot. Pretty hard to argue about what you see vs what the LPB commander sees.

Spidey did the same recently, but on recollection I realise when he said 'In the time it took you to become aware, someone ripped a freighter home, docked, and launched again" I realise I didnt see all that happen due my PC not refreshing.

Oh, so far my best warp due to packetloss and lag is 14K and then almost instadeath of pod due to out of sector boundary damage.

I believe this drives newer players away.
