Part 2 of 2...

Badp wrote:QUOTE (Badp @ Aug 25 2009, 03:37 AM) Sad to hear it ended in a resign. The alternative, however, was people leaving the game, which would also have forced the opponent to sit out people... that is nonideal too.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Oct 18 2009, 04:27 PM) From what I've been told our heads were just not in the game. Lots of stupid mistakes all around this week. Plus our commander was late due to some real life issues. Faction choice for us wasn't the best.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Nov 17 2009, 05:31 PM) If our miners had docked at the outpost like they were supposed to all of it would have been different. Doh.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 7 2010, 05:55 PM) RT, next time y'all won't have GPZ's lag to help you. Several SF pilots had 400-600 pings basically forcing them into scouts if they wanted to do anything meaningful. It especially hit hard for our South American, Australian, and New Zealand contingent. The funny part was a pilot on our side in France had almost 100% packet loss.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 18 2010, 12:25 PM) Yeah it's getting hard for me to keep up on stuff as I have a LOT of work to do in real life. Juggling a large IT project while maintaining several of my smaller clients takes up a lot of time. Not too mention I'm renovating my garage little by little.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Dec 20 2009, 07:44 PM) 6 eh? I didn't know how many to expect with us being so close to Christmas. This was more of an experiment than anything else.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Mar 14 2010, 03:48 PM) DST royally screwed over our European pilots so we barely made the 10 pilot mark 15 minutes in.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 21 2010, 07:37 PM) SF is sort of hot or cold. We do great when everything clicks and sometimes we don't play very well. Common sense would tell you when you don't play very well you usually don't win. Do I say that every game? Probably not, but I have brought it up before.
badp wrote:QUOTE (badp @ Apr 18 2010, 05:31 PM) In other news, Striker commed us and his scrollwheel betrayed him again.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Apr 11 2010, 09:36 PM) *shrugs*

I'm out of the picture due to real life events. Dorjan was appointed SL to take my place, but he had some major internet issues or something this week. Both my ASLs apparently forgot about the game until the last second. The command structure broke down.

SF had the numbers and pilots to probably show around 15, but sadly we screwed up big time. It's one of those rare instances where everyone else thought the other person was handling it. I believe the the correct term is SNAFU. :)
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Nov 28 2010, 09:05 PM) Hyro on the front lines with Arch commanding could have been a significant game changer.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 19 2011, 02:53 AM) Yeah we got screwed on the rocks
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 15 2011, 01:11 AM) As for the whole Bios thing I think he might have forgotten your faction. Dibbley is new to commanding big games.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 24 2011, 12:30 PM) Well the rock gods didn't smile upon us again. I was looking to go supremacy early and not expansion.

Well next time you don't even need to try to think of one, just pick one from the list at random. It should save you at least 2 or 3 rounds of polls.

Where were you when I made that thread about striker in the wants museum?

Of course if fed had said any of those things they'd all be "." Now
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Credit where it's due, Striker lets his posts stand. Even the December one that he got poked at for for ages (hell, he can even laugh about it now, that's progress people ;) ).

If you want to preserve BoGs words I suggest screenshots, although that doesn't always go well either...

Wow, Icky I'm impressed. That must have taken some work to do. However, I still fail to see what you're trying to prove. Yeah, pretty much all of those are valid statements in some way, shape, or form. You and the rest of the vocal minority call them excuses, but I guess that is why you and I are two extremely different individuals.

I can probably do the same thing to you and dozens of others if I comb over 5+ years worth of posts. Heck, I can go through the entire XT forum and pull out random posts where y'all do the exact same thing. So what's your point?

Back when I started playing Allegiance again this community was very cut throat. I'm actually surprised to this day I decided to stay. With that in mind I posted a lot of stuff over the years. Looking back I'm shocked I typed some of it out, but I was a far different person back then. The worst thing you can possibly do is dredge up old posts and call me names. Fine, go right ahead. Get it out of your system.

I've come to realize that this is just a regular old computer game. There is no reason to become so emotionally invested. I've learned to recognize and ignore those that are trying to troll. Suffice to say I've "grown up". I can only hope that individuals such as yourself grow up and stop trying to pick fights with those who are trying to keep this game alive.

Feel free to throw more insults my way. Just remember that all your typing is text on a screen. By the way the ignore list is a wonderful feature especially with that GreaseMonkey script. =) Please have a most wonderful and joyous evening!

Welp, I'm convinced

NightRychune wrote:QUOTE (NightRychune @ Mar 2 2011, 02:33 AM) i received many complaints after this game regarding the way my core was imbalanced and how SF doesn't want to play on it anymore because giga is clearly overpowered

SF was going to go Giga until we went giga then swaped to Belters. No idea why. Giga on Giga would have really shown if it is over powered and who played better imho

Night I really didnt see that much difference in Xc2 vs CC11. It will take months and many games to get a feel for how good your core really is. And with a max of 16 games per month it may take longer.

Now back to reading 3 pages.........edit to come

Its clear that Icky has no life and way to much time on his hands:)

@Striker what happen to simply saying, "Dam we got our asses kicked?" I think thats what I said after XT owned us but im not sure. I would go look but i dont really care that much.

April Striker, Pick a date. And make sure Archy you and Neo can make it. This should limit those "excuses".... or "reasons" for either BS or SF

:)

We were never going to go Giga. It just happened to be on Gigacorp when I joined.

It was very simple to just cruise through gameplay, search for any thread title with "SF" in it and look for excuses. Took about 15 minutes on my lunch break. The sad part is it was so easy.
