Part 2 of 2...
Badp wrote:QUOTE (Badp @ Aug 25 2009, 03:37 AM) Sad to hear it ended in a resign. The alternative, however, was people leaving the game, which would also have forced the opponent to sit out people... that is nonideal too.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Oct 18 2009, 04:27 PM) From what I've been told our heads were just not in the game. Lots of stupid mistakes all around this week. Plus our commander was late due to some real life issues. Faction choice for us wasn't the best.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Nov 17 2009, 05:31 PM) If our miners had docked at the outpost like they were supposed to all of it would have been different. Doh.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 7 2010, 05:55 PM) RT, next time y'all won't have GPZ's lag to help you. Several SF pilots had 400-600 pings basically forcing them into scouts if they wanted to do anything meaningful. It especially hit hard for our South American, Australian, and New Zealand contingent. The funny part was a pilot on our side in France had almost 100% packet loss.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 18 2010, 12:25 PM) Yeah it's getting hard for me to keep up on stuff as I have a LOT of work to do in real life. Juggling a large IT project while maintaining several of my smaller clients takes up a lot of time. Not too mention I'm renovating my garage little by little.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Dec 20 2009, 07:44 PM) 6 eh? I didn't know how many to expect with us being so close to Christmas. This was more of an experiment than anything else.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Mar 14 2010, 03:48 PM) DST royally screwed over our European pilots so we barely made the 10 pilot mark 15 minutes in.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 21 2010, 07:37 PM) SF is sort of hot or cold. We do great when everything clicks and sometimes we don't play very well. Common sense would tell you when you don't play very well you usually don't win. Do I say that every game? Probably not, but I have brought it up before.
badp wrote:QUOTE (badp @ Apr 18 2010, 05:31 PM) In other news, Striker commed us and his scrollwheel betrayed him again.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Apr 11 2010, 09:36 PM) *shrugs*
I'm out of the picture due to real life events. Dorjan was appointed SL to take my place, but he had some major internet issues or something this week. Both my ASLs apparently forgot about the game until the last second. The command structure broke down.
SF had the numbers and pilots to probably show around 15, but sadly we screwed up big time. It's one of those rare instances where everyone else thought the other person was handling it. I believe the the correct term is SNAFU.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Nov 28 2010, 09:05 PM) Hyro on the front lines with Arch commanding could have been a significant game changer.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 19 2011, 02:53 AM) Yeah we got screwed on the rocks
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Feb 15 2011, 01:11 AM) As for the whole Bios thing I think he might have forgotten your faction. Dibbley is new to commanding big games.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Jan 24 2011, 12:30 PM) Well the rock gods didn't smile upon us again. I was looking to go supremacy early and not expansion.
