Really? This merger brings the total number of squads to 8. That's pretty much the easiest tournament structure possible.

By this rate, at the time of the tourney start we'll have π squads. That'll be a problem.

Another systematic approach: By adding numeric values to the letters in former squad tags (A = 1, C = 3, E = 5, S = 19, R = 18, M = 13) and then adding up first tag letters, second, and third (A + S, C + R, E + M) and from the resulting values read letters again, we get:

TUR

...all that's left is to figure out what such tag would mean ;-)

(But given the choice, I would probably go for one of the ACE SRM anagrams... Probably Macers @MAC... Or possibly dual anagram... )

-------------------

But if you are not the types who would appreciate such obscure symbolical references to the previous squads in their squad name...

Royal Family @JQK

Prepare for Total Domination @PTD

Ultimate Fighting Overlords @UFO

We Are UNSTOPPABLE @WAU

ACE SRM Union @ASU

-------------------------------------

Funny tags only:

@LOL
@MIA
@OCD
@ZZZ
@MEH
@42 (are numerical tags even allowed?)
@666

...

As a University of Arizona alum I am deeply offended by this suggestion.

I think slipshod research and mining is a cool name. I also think wildcards is a cool name.
You should keep both names!

There should be a good-bye game!
ACE + friends vs SRM + friends?
