So we've had the halved Bios payday change for a while now

How do you guys feel that worked out for them?

In the interest of balancing a core based on bad players and bad gameplay, the BIOS changes should be un-done so that BIOS can once again win by turtling with no miners.

It sucks big time, bios cant even buy a bomber on a payday. Unless you reduce the cost of bios bombers...? and make figbombers free?

The best suggestion I've seen was, if I remember it right, putting back full paydays, but upping the cost of bios tech to 0.75 of standard.

Plan ahead then?

I like it myself
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Leave paydays for bios. It encourages having an economy and the opposite of what Masta sarcastically said.

Bios ints with unloaded Cloaks now bother me more than anything with Bios (just for sheer agility). Wish I had understood this issue better when it was raised some time ago.

I like the change. Maybe was a bit too drastic a cut, maybe a 33% reduction rather than 50% reduction was appropriate -- but killing Bios miners now means something, so I'm a fan.

Yeah, I like it - I might be biased though because I originally suggested it.

Its not too bad of a nerf, honestly. It didn't stop BS from going Bios this past sunday, and winning vs. SRM.

I think the problem just is that Bios is too cheap - ½ tech cost, free adv techbases. Halving the paydays fixed the "turtling without miners" issue, but created other issues (e.g. not being able to payday a new miner). Sure, commanders can work around this by keeping some cash instead of paying for techs they don't need urgently (since miners bring in more money than they need); but the payday nerf still feels like the wrong solution to me. And it's surely not easy for commanders to figure out which tech they'll need 10 minutes later.
Also cashbox hunting still looks too profitable for Bios.

So I'd prefer if paydays returned to normal (or somewhere close to normal) and tech cost is increased instead (0.75 sounds reasonable).

With the cheap cost but nerfed payday, Bios feels too strong if they can keep mining; and are screwed completely if their miners die. IMHO switching from a payday nerf to more reasonable tech costs would bring the effects of losing a miner more in line with other factions.

Vortrog: I'd support reducing the advantage of unloading hvy cloak (move mass from hvy cloak to the ships), but that's not really relevant to this topic.
