I tried it today on an XP Pro with SP2. No issues. This was not a "virgin" system, since I've used it for testing previously. I'll try my Win7 64-bit tomorrow if I get a moment.

Hello PKK, I am back (kind of) and look forward to the work you've done to the installer.

Thanks,

P.S. Add me back into Dev forum so we can leave notes there - I still have your gmx email does that work as well?

On Win7 Home I'm getting the dreaded "connectivity failure" in ASGS. I think I've gone through all the usual suspects, but I'm still cutting my teeth on Win7. Kind of odd, since I tried this machine with an earlier build and everything at that time was ok. Not sure what else I can poke around in.

Not sure if it's because of the installer contains ASGS (evil code-hiding Xenocode).

Try to reinstall with installer of http://getsetup.alleg.net , not sure if AVG will delete that installation, too.

Is it worthwhile testing this on a machine that already has alleg installed properly? I'm willing to try it if it is, but I don't have access to any clean machines or VMs.

installed on a clean XP Pro SP3 machine. It never had Allegiance before.

It installed all of the missing programs with no issues.

Perfect clean install. Right into game with no issues.

Installed 'other beta' right over top again with no issues.
