I looked at the apache logs and I see two requests, so there were two posts.

Wild guess: If you are sure you only clicked once, then you probably briefly lost Internet connectivity to our forum server (either your wifi connection to your router, your router's connection to your ISP, or somewhere else along the line) and your browser resubmitted the request. Little did it know the first one got through :)

No biggie. We've got 6 of us who can delete 'em.

Why not give supporters a 3 second delay between posts to prevent these double/triple/etc. posts?

Because, believe it or not, someone will complain about that, too.

Double-posts aren't the end of the world, and we delete them when found. No harm done.

On other forums, double/triple/you-name-it posts occur because impatient people click on the "Add Reply" button or whatever repeatedly before their browsers get to load the next page.

Patience! It's a virtue! :P
