I logged in tonight and ASGS updated to build 143. I also redownloaded the FAZ Beta and reinstalled it.
"ASGS.exe has a invalid signature" Would you like to repair? If you answer yes, it just redownloads the new 143 build. Not able to authenticate. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

Edit: disregard the below. It only complains if you have beta mode selected AND you have an old copy of ASGSClient.exe in your BETA folder (likely FreeAllegiance). Simply delete the ASGSClient.exe from your beta folder and you will be good to go (this is what I just did, I ran into the same error). I am just getting home, no testing for me this evening
----
Is ASGS reporting Build 143 in the lower left?
Is it possible the ASGSClient.exe you are running is in a different folder than where your registry keys think Allegiance is? This might explain things, ASGS is updating but putting the new client in a different location and you just keep running the old one.
Until Pook can chime in look for any .new files (like ASGSClient.exe.new) and delete them, then run ASGSUpdate.exe manually.
If you still get the error, move (don't delete it incase I am wrong...) ASGSClient.exe to someplace else. Now run ASGSUpdate.exe again.

Sorry, I forgot tonight was beta night.
Yes, ASGS has been updated but the updater can't push files to the beta folder... so the repair doesn't work. Either copy ASGSClient.exe from your regular allegiance folder to your beta folder, or you can download a fresh copy of the latest client at http://downloads.alleg.net/asgs/asgs.zip

Dogbones says delete ASGSClient.exe from beta folder:

Neither worked for me.Pook wrote:QUOTE (Pook @ Dec 6 2006, 11:19 PM) Either copy ASGSClient.exe from your regular allegiance folder to your beta folder, or you can download a fresh copy of the latest client at http://downloads.alleg.net/asgs/asgs.zip
ASGSClient.exe should *NOT* be in your beta folder. Remove it if it is there.
If you're having "infinite updating loop" problems, log into REGULAR allegiance. ASGS can only update itself when signing into regular allegiance. ASGS updates in "beta mode" cause weird problems.
