What Error Message: Applacation has generated an exception that could not be handled
Process code ID=0x5cc(1484), thread ID=0x1d64 (7524)
Press Ok to terminate Or Cancle to debug
Comments I have hit cancel and yet nothing happens. And Pressing ok just closes the client completely. It only happens on the first update. When restarting the program the error code does not come up again. But when ever viewing the from inside of the cockpit or the command map. Lines/streaks of color and maybe parts of the display are caused to streak across the screen. Starting from the very center. when flying the cockpit can be turned to a point that the lines fade away. they do not fully block the real image on the screen. but it makes it annoying to look through.
streaking
When does this happen, at which step?Acrux wrote:QUOTE (Acrux @ Oct 2 2010, 02:07 AM) Applacation has generated an exception that could not be handled

This seems to be a different problem, than the above one. You haven't provided on the template, what kind of graphic card you're using.Acrux wrote:QUOTE (Acrux @ Oct 2 2010, 02:07 AM) But when ever viewing the from inside of the cockpit or the command map. Sorry about that I was in the process of looking for it at the time. The chipset used on this laptop is GM965 Express chipset family. I can not find anything else to it as of currently. As for the step, it appears when ever Allegiance is first updating after the very first start up after a new install. I am making an educated guess that it is this error that is causing the in-game graphics problem.pkk wrote:QUOTE (pkk @ Oct 2 2010, 05:27 AM) When does this happen, at which step?

I get that error message EVERY time I update or install fresh. It only happens on the first launch after install/update and upon relaunching, the problem vanishes. Don't worry about it. It has NOTHING to do with your graphic problem.
Check and make sure you have vsync turned ON in allegiance. When in game, ESC O A V will toggle vsync. Also make sure you have auto mipmap turned OFF.

When you reinstall, you WILL get the pop up error code upon launching ASGS. Just click OK, and then launch ASGS again and all will be fine.
THEN go into the options menu and change the video settings to see if vsync on fixes the problem.

Ya I tried that, now it will not even allow for me to properly install the game. It is saying "Error opening file for writing" C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance\ASGSClient.exejbansk wrote:QUOTE (jbansk @ Oct 2 2010, 09:53 AM) When you reinstall, you WILL get the pop up error code upon launching ASGS. And then just goes and give the options to abort, retry and ignore. I tried ignoring it once, but it then just goes to saying the same thing again, and will not even allow the client to open.
Navigate to the installation folder "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance" and double click the ASGSUpdate.exe
