Weylin wrote:QUOTE (Weylin @ Sep 20 2010, 12:20 AM) you'll have to scavenge ammo and fuel off of fallen ships to stay in the fight, and the scout might serve a purpose in resupply and repairs.
If you want to change your ship, you can kill yourself on a rock, thus, losing your kill bonus.
Great job reading the op lexaal!

HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Sep 20 2010, 11:58 PM) that or we have a new DM map which has 3 sectors (symmetrical so it's 1 additional sector per team if that is possible incase it has 3 or more teams) which has each team having a garr sector which has no alephs and then the DM sector which has a transceiver (no rip receiver), might be to weird to make it for more then 2 teams but it would be a solution.
Two problems with that: First, there's a limited number of maps that fit in the game options list and you'd be hard-pressed to convince people to sacrifice a conquest map for a DM map that's so rarely used. Second, such a map wouldn't be compatible with cores that don't have the transceiver station (or at least a station with the same ID that the CC trans uses). New cores could be made compatible, but trying to play and old core without this station on the new DM map would cause a server crash.

TurkeyXIII wrote:QUOTE (TurkeyXIII @ Sep 20 2010, 08:59 AM) Teleport models would work, but I'm not sure how you'd replace the garrison with them. My attempts to override garrisons with dev off have been unsuccessful.
Couldn't you just make a separate DM core with Garrisons that use the transceiver model?

That solution exceeds the scope of the original problem.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
