ASGS hacked?
Orion wrote:QUOTE (Orion @ Sep 19 2010, 02:12 PM) That too. This hole was not exploitable until the source code was released.
Seriously UncleBuck, your ignorance is telling.
I said SEVERAL secruity holes. I dont know about YOU, but i count 4, that have been known to exist for 5+ years.Only 2 of which required allegiance source code. My point was asgs had been flawed since launch, but you are only in the last year making a new security tool. My question was WHY?
I am not attempting troll, its a question, if everyone knew these flaws existed for so long why did the dev team wait so long to make css?
Im not sure where you get the idea imago is my hero either.

I'll just say the same thing again, I guess.. since last time it didn't seep into your skull: They are going around the security system, the security system does not stop them from getting in, this flaw is in the lobby code, not the security system. I don't know how to say it any simpler: The security system is not relevant to this particular exploit. Hablas ingles?UncleBuck wrote:QUOTE (UncleBuck @ Sep 19 2010, 01:19 PM) I am not attempting troll, its a question, if everyone knew these flaws existed for so long why did the dev team wait so long to make css?
As for why the security system was not replaced before now.. lethargy? lack of need? no initiative? It's not relevant though, because they're bypassing the security system altogether. This exploit falls outside of the scope of ASGS, and inside the realm of the allegiance dev team. One member of which, as you may know, was Imago.

You are not following the basic concept. You've had allegiance code for years, and no one has even TRIED to fix the holes. This has NOTHING to do with ASGS, it has to do with fixing known exploits and cheats, that some people have been using for years, either undetected, or the people in charge just didnt care.
MANY people for example have aiming reticles turned on every ship, this is not a secret, its been known for half a decade. Do not pretend this is about asgs, its about fixing exploits in allegiance it self.

Honestly, i have no idea if TE knew about these problems, I do know thalgor and pook both did half a decade+ ago.
