It's Beta Wednesday time again!
Please help us test gameplay -- we'll be voting on some of the features here soon so please test them out.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BETA WEDNESDAY:
If you do not already have it installed, you will need to install the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. You should also make sure you have the latest DirectX 9 Start with an up to date Allegiance install (make sure you can play on the regular servers).
In ASGS select "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Still in ASGS, select "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files".
Click "Login". The updater will run again, downloading the beta client.
After the updater has finished, click "Login" again.
Enjoy the beta! Find or create a new game and test away!
When you are done, there are a couple steps to get back on the regular servers.
Turn off beta mode "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Revert to the regular client "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files"
Play as normal!
Don't forget to submit your bugs! and feel free to check out the list of recently closed tickets on trac.

PLEASE NOTE!
This week there are a lot of repeat empty games on the CDN server. Ignore them, you will not be able to connect to them as the server cloud has gone down. Only games listed as BETA will be playable. I'm attempting to work with the CDN server operator to get this resolved.
I am also aware of the newgamescreen.mdl problem due to it being ASGS protected and am working to find a resolution. Please bear with me, hopefully I'll have something by next week.
Beta Wednesday Time Again
DO NOT USE ASGS TO RUN BETA!
If you do, you may end here:
HELPLINE - Clicking on game setts causes crash seems to be happening to a lot of people.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
