I turned everything off that I could and that is the best performance I can get so far.

Netbook Atom 1.66Mhz / Nvidia Ion / Windows 7 (yeah, yeah I know)

I was so happy this game worked on my system. I don't have the money for a better computer.

:unsure:

Kinda surprised this game does not run better anyway, isn't this little netbook much faster than computers 10 years ago when the game came out? I can run quite a few other newer games on Steam really well.

Much sadness.

This is an issue with the individule computer. I am running just fine on an old Dell 2400. Please get you"re issues to the dev team to help them resolve it. This is in concert with the "No bug left behind policy" :P

Yeah... I'll get all my info together tomorrow and post it. Just FYI, I have tried the usual: nvidia over-ride settings for allegiance.exe including the ever popular vert sync on (and off) with triple buffering on (and off), in game sound quality to low (and default and high) with sound card acceleration on (and off), everything graphics wise off (particles, etc.). Everything is off or at the lowest setting. I have tried every combination now and 50mspf/17fps is about the best I can get on R6 in game.

NVIDIA Driver 11/20/2009 - 8.17.11.9562 (i tried upgrading this before and it just made things worse)

Running on the same netbook, no issues in beta or r5. Well no framerate issue, I still cannot take screenshots though.

Driver is 8.15.10.1749 - slightly older than yours.

Ummm, well vsync is forced on because not only is it unnecessary but the game isn't even coded properly when it's off. Don't bother overriding it.

Are there VDPAU drivers for Windows? I use them on Linux as they really help with efficiency.

Really? What mspf/fps do you get?

Yes... basically the same mspf/fps there.

Ok... after thinking about possible problems on my end, I wondered if the NVIDIA Control Panel / Manage 3D Settings / Program Settings / allegiance.exe needed to be recreated. I saved the settings, removed them, rebooted, recreated them and SUCCESS! Well, sort of kinda. Definitely better than yesterday, but not quite as good as R5:

R5=~20/~50
R6=~26/~34 (range is 21-32/29-47) not a complete slide show, but still not good enough for dogfighting.

Still tweaking.
