Gandalf vs Saruman

At first Saruman refused to let me command, but eventually I escaped out of that hole he calls his home and I got a team together to fight him.

I led an elite task force through the Moria sector, however I lost connection at this point

When I came back, seemed the taskforce had mostly survived but had been forced onto the defensive as the enemy had put a tech base up that we hadn't eyed

So our guys were defending against an epic bomb run on our base in Helm's Deep. They were about to blow our base when I LED A CHARGE OF VICTORY from their flank together with some team-mates. The enemy were confused and we wtfpwnedbbq'ed them.

Whilst they were all podded we stormed their home, only Saruman and 1 other pilot were left and we owned them

You forgot about the devoted pair of stealth bombers which snuck around the back to kill his key techbase.

Only one stealth bomber, and it had nerve gas. The other was a stealth nan.

I'm pretty sure NG SBs don't carry anti-base or anti shield weapons, so I would guess it would have been at least 2 Stealth Bombers.

Don't you remember? A suicidal attack from the front lowered the shields of the base so the NG could get in.
