Koln,

You're simply trolling. GTFO if you have nothing to offer.

Yes you should.
I remember my Advisor talking me into taking both of those and Adv. Applied Math (DiffEQ II?) all in one semester of my Junior year, it hurt.

I know this is off topic, but good luck.

You hit the nail right on the head.

The problem is that I want both the max turn rate and the proper quadratic curve for the given scale. By changing the scale (lying), I lose max rate and proper curve.

So, essentually anyone who alters their joystick sensitivity (axis values) does so at the loss of turn rate and proper linear / quadratic curves. I consider that a "bug" ;)

How do mice get around this problem?

Mice get around this problem because people don't edit mouse drivers to have the cursor zip across the screen at 35 linear miles per hour. I'm going to guess it's theoretically possible, but I think it's probably limited/calibrated by the mouse cursor's distance-from-center, as mouse control effectivly has no deadzone.

actually, theres no reason the game can't just remember how far the mouse has moved, rather than where the cursor is, otherwise fps games would get stuck if you turned right too often without turning left to recenter the cursor :D , in other words mice have no max distance. physically, the difference is that whan a joystick hits max turning, it cant be pushed further, when a mouse reaches the edge of the desk, you just pick it up and re-center it ;) .

in quantus, the cursor is just recentered every frame (a running total of how far it's moved is kept of course), so it never reaches the edge, dunno how alleg does it though.

Could you tell me if a turret zoomed out turn rate should = 75 degrees per second? I think it's supposed to be 60 and I'm getting exactly 75.

I just tested it while zoomed in and I'm getting 7.5 degrees in all axis while getting 75 degrees per second zoomed out in all 3 axis. Was this increased from 60? Was it always 75? Anyone?

The reason I ask is because...My turret is on steroids...

That is not on fast forward either!

I just tested the build r581 10.26.06 that contains the "fix" in r526.

Not only did it NOT fix the problem, but it has introduced a new problem of choppy gameplay.

The fix wasn't for this "issue."

Fuzzy,

Are you just a trolling tard or what? GTFO if you have nothing to say.

You have absolutely nothing to do with anything around here. All you do is comment on the work others are doing while pretending to be somebody. Go troll another thread. Imago has the ticket.
