badp wrote:QUOTE (badp @ Jun 17 2010, 07:18 AM) Can somebody please sum up the reasons brought against Bard? Even if who posts them does not support them.

(These points have to be pretty good to make me change ideas after reading that wall of text, however. :) )
1: Bard doesn't play 40 hrs/week like some people.
2: Bard would only be perpetuating a hidden conspiracy which implicates the entire dev team.

Bard is a necromancer, and necromancers can't be trusted.

Bard is a super candidate for this job, not only because he has experience with managing IT people, he is always active and you can reach him anytime easily. I think he has what development zone needs, an active, well respected and level headed leader who can focus on coordinating peoples efforts.

TL;DR; Bard +1

Can we just make him ZL already and get some things rolling around here again. We're probabably not going to ge any complaints until after we make him ZL, and we've got a sufficiently large thread of support with no serious complaints raised in it to direct the haters to now.
<madpeople is a little impatient with the prospect of a new ZL so close after this long period without one>

Eh. A couple more days wouldn't make a huge difference and whether I was in the running or not I'd much rather have everything as "above board" as possible.

As long as Bard promises never to flip out and bite anyones head off again, he's cool.

You know, not everyone has the time to play like some people.
Like myself, I spend a lot of my free time thinking up ways and implementing them, to make Allegiance better for the people that play.

That means I end up playing and logging into the game a lot less.
This doesnt mean I dont love the game, it also doesnt mean I dont spend countless hours trying to fix or figure out @#(! to help.

Bard gets a large +1 from me; he is active, helps out a @#(! ton behind the scenes, is level headed(unless we are both drunk on IRC  ) and has the real life application qualities required to run the Dev Zone.

I'm pretty sure Bard will get the job since he is one of the, if not the, bes candidate for the job.

He's got the support of the Quantus team. And the AGC team.

Make him ZL!
