I thought maybe so too, wierd request. It depends if after the 3 year trial period I decide its a pain in the ass, he can have it, its easier than returning it.

I actually don't need anymore kids to have to look after thank you. I get enough of that at work

Well... wow too many internal structures on this model for UV mapping, but I am almost done! The actual .bmp image itself looks like @#(! but I think you all are just gonna have to deal as long as it looks great on the model eh? This is my 80% finished Destroyer model. I dont know when I have to add the lights, hardpoints, and bay doors so if someone could help me with that it would be great.
I am trying to shade in flat areas and highlight edges to really make the 3d pop, that and I am adding little battle scars and the GT logo. It ain't the prettiest ship but its a bit more realistic than existing models. Currently shown at high resolution (2048x2048), but actually it loses relatively little detail at half the shown resolution(1024x1024).
P.S. I am not quite finished with UV mapping, but I thought it was complete enough to show you guys.

Well I am finished UV mapping and am adding hardpoints etc. Someone is going to have to help me with the transparency issues that I know I will have. I have seen these issues with several of the high resolution Rix textures I used, Quia fixed them and I am trying to figure out what he did but he imports the image from a png file so this has me utterly confuzzeld as to what I need to do about this... I get confused rather easily...
EDIT: hmm... I am noticing that, although there is no transpency with the new Rix files, there is an issue with the ships in the loadout screen, I'd guess that this can only be fixed by correcting the core, or interface whatever... my point is, it isn't the model. When flying though they all look fine now.
EDIT2: Crap... I keep thinking of more questions! To be forward facing in the game, the front of the ship model has to be in the 'front' view in milkshape right?
EDIT3: Why do I have to include the smoke hp for a ship that does not mount booster, just wondering...
EDIT4: LOL??!!!?? the cvh for the curent destroyer model has numerous convex parts... I thought that wasn't supposed to work???
