Ive entered the lobby and see the list of games why cant i get into one?

When i try to play any game on the games list it says "failed to connect to server"
could someone tell me why??

Windows Version (and Service Packs): XP
Processor Speed: 450 Pent 2

Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DSL
Modem (Make and Model#): Alcatel Speedtouch 530
Router (Make and Model#): none
Internet Service Provider(company name): Bigpond.com
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): Australia Victoria Melbourne

Problem Encountered at Step #:You select your desired server, and click "Join Game"
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegience
What Error Message: failed to connect to server
Comments (What you tried, description, etc): I am able to get to the lobby but am unable to join a game. Each time I choose a game and launch I get the error "failed to connect to server"

Ok, the reason allegiance does not work is because you need to forward some ports to your computer on your router (which is your modem in this case) the ports that need to be forwarded are 2300 - 2400 which is 101 ports however your modem can't forward that many ports so you have to use DXport. There is also a beta version of allegiance coming out soon that does not need any of this, so if you give up check back from time to time to look for it.

Download the updated BETA tomorrow (Weds.) when it is released. See if you can play tomorrow night during BETA testing. READ, I repeat READ the instructions in the FAZ BETA forum. Follow them, and you should be able to play.

If not, then it is something on your end. Windows firewall, etc.
