Somehow it seems like someone changed played around with session security...

I have to log into the forum again, every time:
ISP drops connection and I get a new IP (while browser is open)I reopen my browser next day, while I had a FAO page open (new IP)

It become a bit annoying, so please disable IP check again. ;)

I'd look into something else, I can log in from different IPs just fine.

I think this might be the cause of my wiki login issues. I know every time I tried to edit the wiki I stayed on the forum.

Only once a day? I have to login at least twice, once a day from home, then occasionally from work (even though it's my personal notebook...).

TB, it probably works for you because you always get an IP from the same address range. ISPs here often buy many small IP blocks, so IPB thinks it's a different network.

If it helps, Steam doesn't work much better than IPB, however. I have to login once a day there as well to get to the community stuff. (Twice, if I also want to access the store. All despite running from the Steam client.) And there I can't even save the username and password, but have to type it every time...</rant>

I'm not so sure about that, I was using IPs from all over the place.

Well, I can confirm pkk's observation at any rate. A login is required once a day minimum.

I haven't had to log in for weeks. I only have to do it when I clear private data and sessions out of Firefox.

I have to log in if I go to a different computer or even reboot in a different OS or browser.

If I stay in the same browser/os/whatever I'm fine forever, but once I visit from somewhere else I have to log in again.

Seems like you are correct.

I had to log in a few times, while working on the wiki.
