In my carebear moments i podkill newbs independant from their kb.
I propose here a code change with the same intention:

Change O2 time for newbie pods to 30 seconds.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.

OR everyone could just not be an @#$%@# and podkill newbies. I always do this myself for two reasons; so they don't spend hours in a pod and so I can kill them again even quicker.

Interesting idea space but if you pod one of these scouts you get 2 kills instead of 1 as was mentioned above which is a bit unfair.
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Well it isn't like they don't get killed separatedly anyway.

I.e. when Grav commands and they get close to any enemy base you can almost hear David Attemborough's voice in the background. And when tech is up, he strikes you with the blood of a thousand newbie sacrifices! :ninja:

As someone who spends a lot of time in either the newbie server or AFS training sessions actually trying to help folks, I would find this REALLY useful as a teaching aid.

However, I certainly would NOT want it on a regular server/game.

Would be nice to have in a training core, hosted on newbie servers etc.

The problem is that newbs want to jump right in and kill kill kill! They wan't action! They want adventure! They want to brag to thier friends that they kicked ass!
If they would calm down..which they do after about 6 months, then they can realize that if they really want to HELP THE TEAM, they need to get in a scout and try to not die.No one wants to scout these days, the voobs want the glory of killing miners, but they want "someone else" to scout them out for them.Commanders need to start assigning players to scout.i.E.
"such and such, instead of flying around in circles, get in a scout and probe titty sector".If they ignore you...reason to boot! Also, newer players..PLEASE ask if you're not sure how to do something in a scout. The others usually will be glad to help you so they don't have to do it themselves.Remember to use the "scroll up" button on you're keyboard to read the fast scrolling chat.

I realize its a bit out of date by now, but there is an actual training core y'know.
