Can't help but point out that red/green colour/blindness is the most common type. In particular I notice with rix that the doors are virtually impossible to tell apart. Also I don't know if it's got more to do with being in busy combat, or it's the colour, but the target indicators in the center of the screen, the red and green arrow that point to targets, well, the green is always noticeable but the red often disappears to me, masked by other colours around it I guess, but it is a dark shade and I can't rely on the colour itself sticking out. The green is always noticeable. Just my .02

Well you can always edit the mdls and make them any colour you want, but if you cant tell between red and green i doubt it will help.

Mmm, this issue has been brought up many times, but I think we're still stuck at what colour to make the doors. I think Yellow and Teal would be nice.

In theory it wouldn't be too much trouble to make new door colours for bases. Some factions will be easier than others (belters would require one tex changed for all their bases to be fixed, IC will need work done to each and every base).

If there is a consensus about what colours would be best (BV I'm sure has an opinion here) then we could see about getting some alternative colours made up. I'd be basing them on the high res stuff so it'd be R3 only.

This is all assuming that base textures aren't protected by ASGS (which I think they aren't).

So what colours would you colour blind people like?

i say keep enterance green, make exits some other colour, then you only need to remember one colour, the new exit colour.

Well the way i see it you dont need to see the red door that much so that doesn't matter much and if you have problems seeing a green door surely you wont see any other colour much better.

i think the problem is that they cant tell the difference between red and green, not than they cant see the doors.

make the exit a colour they can tell is different from green, then all will be well...

i'm just trying to avoid having some weird yellow enterances for normal sighted people. funny coloured exits i could live with...

or someone could make a colour blind texture pack, all it would take is a few mins in paint with the fill tool to change the coloured striples from one colour to another.
...

what colours do colour blind people want?
