Because people trying to find something "cool" and relatively low-effort to do conclude that it must be an awesome way to innovatively make people interested in things because, hey, it's live and it's streaming! What could possibly go wrong!? I mean, aside from the fact that it's impossible to see anything in Alleg at any resolution smaller than 800x600 and any quality loss at all renders all text unreadable, resulting in the fact that most people can't even create decent recordings?

if you're going to broadcast live, do you need anything more than voice? I mean can't you just log into the game and spectate if you want to do that?

SaiSoma was narrating, yeah he does it well :)

It actually made for quite a decent spectator sport, I was half-following it whilst doing some other stuff. The echo was terrible though (hopefully addressed for the future), and the quality could've been better (could barely read the chat for example) but other things were fine, watching the bomb runs were fun for example.

If we could watch games with a 20 or 30 minute delay, that would be cool, I would definitely like to watch league games when RT aren't in action, or tourney finals, things like that.

Thanks, but the commentary from spidey was seriously awesome and very insightful.

As far the quality of the audio, I have determined the issues and have corrected my procedures to prevent them from happening again. For the delay, I have some ideas, but nothing tested yet. For the quality of the video, I have some ideas, but will have to do some additional testing as well. I really want the ability to switch between my view and my co-hosts view from the other team during the commentary. Ustream likely isn't the best fit for this, but it was free and easily setup on my small amount of available time.

I hope everyone enjoyed it and I hope to make it more of a regular thing as we work the kinks out. If I could switch to the other teams view and have the delay, it could be much more interesting. Spidey and I both were doing our best not to give away things like uneyed bomb runs or htt runs. TBH, yellow definitely was at the disadvantage there as everyone could see the tech research messages and such, even if I was able to keep from showing the htt low with a mouse over. The delay should fix that without too much trouble, assuming I can make it work.
