Really says something since Dorjan, one of Sp4wn's buds (I thought), has decided to take several good ideas (Including Sp4wn's) and make a new one.
Fuzz, I've explained over and over again what happened. Your work hasn't been lost but since you were the coder for sp4wns concept and I merged all 3 ideas into one...

Your design was UN-usable in all but firefox, I'm sorry man but it is true. If TE didn't overlook it for that reason then he should've. The background image problem is still there in this version too, hell I could use the old star background if we want but that wasn't going to be a concern until the end. People like Orion is so far up his own ass that he doesn't bother to read what people are doing, what they are doing it or the fact that some are still in "beta" and being rushed.

But w/e everyone knows best and everyone has a personal agenda instead of just doing what they think is best for the community. It seems everyone has lost sight of that.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

I like both Bacon and AEMs' Page. I like AEM's video more, but the setup on Bacons page is nice. Not sure what to vote for...

Actually it's not 'in beta', it's in production: www.alleg.net

I feel strongly that this page is not good, and the old page was certainly much better. Sorry for giving you my professional opinion, since the community would prefer an amateurish page like what is currently in production.

+1 for Dorjan + Bacon's soon-to-be-finished layout...

So the $#@! what. TE didn't even reply or acknowledge my PM.

I haven't checked, since I'm not going to bother downloading Opera, but PKK coded the fix for Opera (etc) and that was BEFORE I PM'ed TE. I have acknowledged the background image issue, btw.

Orion's unnecessary mean-ness aside, I still have to say the original page does look neater, more polished, and, well, more professional. I still like the new layouts a lot, and the change might be worth it, but I just think that this point shouldn't be dismissed... The new designs do have many advantages over the original though, that's for sure, and it is obvious that a huge amount of work went into each of the possible options. But they aren't quite as... I dunno, shiny and refined and neat, or whatever.

Yes and Bacon
The Optimist says the glass is half full. The pessimist says it is half empty. The salesman says that it is a good-quality, pure glass glass with a half glass of water free with the purchase. The Descartian says it is merely an illusion of our mind, created to explain why we are no longer thirsty. And I finish it and get a refill

I actually got to agree with Orion. 1MB for a front page seems way too much.

Wrong, it works fine with Firefox, IE and Opera after I tweaked it... ;)
