My Christmas present was epic.

My laptop fizzles and dies at a point where I don't have money to buy a new one. But atleast I can surf forumz on my phone right?

Well, some voob got their christmas wish this year, since I am now looking at forced allegiance retirement due to me possibly not being able to secure a computer for... days/weeks/months.

I suppose it was fun while it lasted.

Merry X-Mas Alleg.

I was out to kill Richard in Halifax a couple of weeks ago.
But someone stuck a bananer in the end of my sniper. This caused the bullet ricocheted off of a tree ornament and took down a Russian satellite.

Good luck getting back into alleg Drizzler

Time to get excited for New Year's. :)

When I was little, in old country, we celebrate New Year instead of Christmas due to Christmas being evil capitalist anti-atheistic festival. So we had a New Year's tree, New Year's presents, the local equivalent of Santa Claus came on the night after New Year's eve... I still think of New Year's like that a little bit. :)

Well Christmas originated as a way for Christians to escape persecution by polytheist officials. Why it continued as such is a mystery to me.

Anyways i remember back when "winter break" was known as Christmas break. Ahh good days.

Do you have a source for this? I'd be interested to read it, since I'm not aware of this theory. My own research led me to believe that Christmas was a pre-existing pagan winter-solstice holiday that was simply adapted by Constantine to make the transition to his state-run Christianity easier.
There are so many competing schools of thought out there, that logically somebody has to be deluded. I have a feeling it's me.
