so it sounds like your VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGPs hate allegiance's Software UIVertexBuffers but the regular Software VertexBuffers are behaving normally, if not better than ever...

did this PIP ("Picture in Picture") crap happen with R4Alpha?

I changed a bunch of crap for SWVP in R5...

I don't remember, sorry. I think it used to work though.

I don't know if I'm talking out of my ass, but I find it kinda funny that it's the 2D stuff that's giving us @#(! (for me at least: flying with no F6 or investments hovering on the minimap is the best time it performs... even better those few secs right after launch before taking controls).

heh. ive never encountered this before in my alleg life....
"From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from the dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose."

I had the same issue with the VIA/S3G unichrome pro. If you do an update on it through control panel your graphics it fixes the picture in picture, but causes the mouse to move very slowly like its lagging almost unless your flying.

Are either of you folk with this problem using any mods to the game? What mods?

EDIT:
Also try Biohazard's fix:
QUOTE If you do an update on it through control panel your graphics it fixes the picture in picture, but causes the mouse to move very slowly like its lagging almost unless your flying.[/quote]

It wasn't really a fix, Fuzz, since reaction time was severely limited making it almost unflyable. Not to mention loading out was a pain in the ass.

Only mods I used to have were CortUI, TheMan reticle and juckto's fuel/ammo icons.

I've since uninstalled since I was unable to play, though I have resigned myself to getting a new system. I need to as soon as I restart working anyway.

Can someone please test this on BETA and see if it's still an issue?

Thanks
