He no longer works for MS, so don't waste your time. ;)

Sorry for necro, but this thread occurred to me when I was pointing the AFS students towards training videos.

Lawson did an excellent couple of videosfor alleg. The constructor battle one is exceptionally cool.

May be worth sounding him out for if he stll has the High res DVD quality copies he had when he created them.

Dammit. Such cool stuff (which I totally hadn't noticed before) but spoiled by the low resolution FRAPS.

I sent a PM to SaiSoma a while back, telling him about the gamershell mirror. Gamershell.com hosts an outdated version of Allegiance. They agreed to post a news every time the installer is updated, when I contacted them about removing it, when they first put it on their site. Telling them about a new installer would be a good way to channel some traffic and new players to Allegiance. If anyone from the ad group wants the e-mail-address (should be on their site) to contact them, just drop me a pm.

Thanks for reminder! Tomorrow during lunch I'll start putting together all of this stuff at the top of each pinned thread, so we have a single listing. Good work guys!

Another thing I would highly recommend: One installer for all available high res packages and using it for advertising. The new textures look much better, but installing them is a big hassle, because one has to install about 15 packages or unzip them into the correct folder...
