My guess is your antivirus, I could actually help you though if you filled out the template in the READ ME FIRST post.

Monkey Monkey HSharp!

Yeah please do follow the format listed in the READ ME FIRST post. But just to save you some effort, if your Antivirus software is Avast!, AVG, Mcafee or such try uninstalling it.

Not the best advice para as Avast! and AVG (on xp) both work with Allegiance, avast just needs a firewall component removed but otherwise it's fine. It's much nicer to find a solution which doesn't require the user to get rid of their antivirus just to play Allegiance (even if it is some POS McAffee/Norton)

I just got allegiance to work on my laptop after 9 months. AVG seemed to effect allegiance on my vista so I droped it and went with avast and no problems. I also ran a cleaner program to get rid of small traces my nortens left behind of its self. When I seen the lobby I though it was hallucinating at first.

There should be a disclaimer sticky on this forum telling everyone. Avast is the only anti virus that works with this game. If you want allegiance to work you must get rid of other anti virus programs you may have. Uninstalling them isn't enough though. You must use a system cleaner to totally wipe all traces of none avast anti virus programs...don't forget to reboot!

Like I said before Mindscar, AVG works with Allegiance on XP (some report of it working with Vista as well), Avira antivirus also works well and so does Avast! on xp and vista. If you have Norton or McAffee then you need to uninstall them run a cleaner program and reboot.

It's much nicer when you don't have to change your antivirus system to play a game.

that would be misleading then since not everyone uses Avast but yet allegiance still works ;)
