There's been some interest recently in advertising Allegiance and trying to grow the community so we're taking action.
However, we need people to throw their ideas in the ring and volunteer their time and efforts. If you think you can help please PM me (Raveen) and I'll add you to the Marketing Forum.
We need your help to advertise!

All I really have to say is it goes hand in hand with Windows 7 and fixing the Anti Virus issues imho as well making an old game like this be promoted for what it is as a very exciting one.
It's really sad how active it used to be and how quiet it is now.. especially in my timezone as I post this.
Thanks for trying to get the activity up and best of luck to the marketing team here.

The AV issues needs hard coders to work on it.
I looked into it a couple of months ago, and I could probably do some replacement code, but I really don't have the sort of hardware I need at home to do proper coding/debugging/test, especially for networked components.
The active coders we do have often prefer to write things that are more fun (as is their right - it is their free time they donate).
Sadly - we're a bit stuck with the AV problems, and we've got to try and work around them for the time being.
Edit: There appears to be no issue with Win7 with the trial ASGS pook released AFAIAA.

No matter what the current situation is, there is someone savvy enough to install, run, and play the game. We just have to find them and entice them.
Let the devs do their job, they are awesome at it.
We have what we have atm, lets push our Alleg crack to the right crowd.
Thats sort of what I was trying to say,
In addition, whos to say one of the people we recruit will not be an uber coder who will do tons of work for us?
Recruit away I say......
