Did you make a trace to see where the packets drop occur??
If you didn't... Guess you have several problem's.
1. You $#@!ed up not making a trace, and helping.
2. You already know you got a cheap ass ISP.
3. You have no clue how to analyze your problem, see 1.
4. You start sucking at dogfigthing. see 1,2,3.
5. You just became a "user".
Life suck's and then u play Alleg.

Unfortunately, I agree with Zapper.

If you don't read the bloody thread and provide useful info, sucks to be you. We're not mind readers and we sure as @#(! can't do diagnostics from your computer.

So, users with problems, READ THE $#@!ING THREAD. Be useful or GTFO and stop complaining.

@Rhino : Thanks for blacking out your IP. It's such a hard thing to find in today's world. We're all gonna HAX YOUR @#(!! OH YEAH.

P.S : Your trace is useless because all it has is your IP and your last mile connectivity router's IP. Go complain to your ISP please.

Not to mention that he blanked a class-A private address. Non-routable from the rest of the internet, FYI.

We do, on the other hand, know that his name is "Bill". :P

Read into this what you will.

I was asking what has changed in the past month that caused this to start sucking. before it was awesome. Considering it happened at or around a certain time i was curious as to wtf was going on.

The odd part about all of this is the length of time it is taking to fix the issue. Most providers upgrade their equipment as needed and stay under a set percentage of their pipe. Once they hit that figure they start rolling out more equipment to handle the load before there is a bandwidth crunch.

The internetz is complex yo. A myriad shifting organism of unrelated yet connected complex and disorganised systems. Many seek through them, and find not the answer. Yea the vagaries of internet connectivity confuse the sanest of minds, and drive mere mortals to the edge of insanity where the dread creatures lurk. The fluid patterns of the internet are random yet purposeful, senseless yet of a mad organisation, hidden yet all around. Only by piecing together the millions of bits of tiny information from all ends of the tangled web that is woven, can it's masters attempt to make the magic travel faster. Only through the use of special incantation know to a few can it's secrets be discovered.

tl:dr - No-one knows. Information from your end may be helpful.

@ Immz: was that sarcasm or not? I can't even tell. Also, I did say that the ping and tracert were worthless.

@ Baker: You are correct, the user account I was logged onto was "Bill"; I realized this after I had uploaded the image and was too lazy to fix it.
I also realize that posting here will not help solve the problem, I just thought people might appreciate being aware that a (small) fraction of the community is still having problems some of the time.
If you can choose to be decisive or correct, always choose decisive. Otherwise, this can happen to you:
