It was a 0 minute ban. A slap on the wrist. Get over it.

DD had been failing to accept pilots since I joined the lobby (I spent 3 minutes waiting for him then went to the other side when a slot came up).

He was warned on All chat and team chat several times that he should accept.

I might go and find that storm in a teacup image again........

If you think an admin or commander or player has acted irresponsibly, PM BV or other admin figures. Stirring up @#(!ty @#(! on the forums helps no-one, and only makes you the center of attention.

Well, the ban wasn't that justified IMHO.
I've seen worse things done by commanders than not accepting people for 5 minutes. I sometimes wait for more than 5 minutes to join the game, and I don't consider it a commander's fault, because he might be busy.

However, I've never seen the commander being BANNED from the game UNDER WAY because of not reading the PMs / all chat. This all was like a showoff of the banstick power to me.
Mind you, I fully respect Spidey's skill and personality, but I don't follow him in this particular case.

What followed was even worse. Resign in a game so winnable, that was frustrating. I blame Spidey for ruining the game by disrupting the commander. I blame DareDevil too for resigning the game afterwards.

This too, of course :)

QFT. I flew for DD that game.

The resign was bull@#(!.

Booting the commander was bull@#(!.

Result = game ruined for whole team who had worked hard for 30+ mins to get into that position.

IF you boot a commander whilst the game is UNDERWAY the command falls to the next person on the list. This might be a (0) who certainly won't be accepting players. There then follows 5 mins of mutiny nonsense (during which time players are still not being accepted). Net result is total disruption of one team and a ruined game.

DD was genuinely really busy in that game - a fact spidey would have known if he were in the game and not the lobby. DD was not IMHO actively preventing people from joining, he was trying to organise bomb runs (badly!) and defend miners.

Facts:
DD was down 1 player
DD had 3 people attempting to join (2 newbies(rank 0)/1 cadet)
After a significant period of time when none of these people joined I brought it to DD's attention.
He didn't do anything.
One of the newbies logged out and left. I wonder if we will ever see him again?
3 additional vets attempt to blink onto DD's team for 2 minutes or so
During this time comm changes from DD to OMB then back again
DD then then begins talking on all chat about everyone pm'ing him. He STILL does not accept anyone. People indicate to me they would like to play but are being kept from playing. The cadet indicates to me he has been waiting a long time
DD is dropped (after game is over)

All told about 7 people are kept from playing.

All of you people whining about how he was so busy he couldn't accept are some of the most clueless people I have ever seen. It takes a maximum of one second to accept or type "one sec" or etc etc. If DD has time to rant on all chat he has time to accept. If I have time to remap my keys while leading a bomb run, and accept a player at the same time while killing PK's last tech base, and fraps it - why is it so hard for people like Yiggz and DD to play?

I have seen people like Clay log on to play - people who have minimal time - end up leaving because some of you morons cannot accept even one player in 7 minutes.

EVERYONE has the right to play - and because some of you cannot accept ANYONE you are keeping people from playing.

Anyone who whines about how hard it is to accept people and do something command wise at the same time frankly has no idea what they are talking about. ACCEPTING PLAYERS IS PART OF COMMANDING.

Using something I have called "EYES" I am able to see who is next in line for command - the same way I am able to see when someone attempts to join my team and accept them. Using these "EYES" I was able to figure out the person next in line for command was not a newbie

TL;DR version - I hit DD with a 0 minute ban after a game was over for keeping people from playing

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

So why wernt the players let on, you cant be that busy.
Im not saying the ban was justifed, however it only takes like 3 seconds to hit f6 and the "accept" button.

Essentially if DD has time to rant on all chat - he has time to accept 1 player.

There is a thing called autoaccept if you can't walk a miner and chew gum at the same time. :P
