I did participate in tests of Madp's shipyard. I liked the idea of having offense/defense/support ships. Seems more like what it should be. Big ass ship with some support ships. Just like there are Carrier fleets in RL.
I don't know what was it like during MS days though...

MadP's core was solid, and I think that it would be a good modification to do after we see how this goes. As a start point I'm not a fan of it

I'd actually like to see SY be a 4th tech path... but right now since that's apparently not an option I say leave it alone.

Most games that I recall that use SY... it was used in one of two ways. Either as a cap-rush, or as a game ending slaughter to a team that is turtling effectively. I don't think either of those paths are really fun to play (both for and against). So I don't really feel that caps should be made stronger... I would rather see them be a little weaker and a little cheaper. I also don't think that there should be a cap that guarantees a base kill just because you could afford it.. there should be some level of skill and tactics.

Can the SY have a ship called the Harasser with a 10k range gun that can move 400mps but only does 4 damage per shot?
