I don't know how aleph randomization were coded, but I'd like to be able to use completely custom maps again.
I'd like to know why randomization is needed. I remember that before randomization, MS maps were randomized while custom ones weren't. My question is: Why weren't new custom maps added as if they were MS ones? My guess is that MS randomized maps were hardcoded while custom maps weren't and that only hardcoded maps were randomized.
My limited knowledge of the code would tend to make me suggest this:
Add a checkbox in the game creation menu in the allegiance lobby to decide if aleph randomization is activated or not(default = on)
I'm not sure how easy it would be to make the allegiance server ignore the randomization code, but it would be great. I somewhat beleive that it would be hard to make the server decide if it randomize or not after a game session was created, but this would make the server act before creating the game.
Another option that could be more simple would be to include a randomization tag in the name of the maps which would make the server ignore randomization. The maps that must not be randomized could be named like NR-racemap1 or NR-Anniversary2010.

Already done in a way - In the map, you just have to set the aleph name to have a preceeding *

Ok, this is just a wish and very far from a request, but how hard would it be to make a resonator that toggle the ability of an aleph? It could be pretty interesting to open a race. Example: You res an aleph, it close, you res it again, it opens. Another option could be to add yet another tag to alephs. These alephs could open/close everytime they get hit by a res(Core devs could then make a 0 damage res).
